Valley Oaks Headlines

Spring Branch ISD's Grade-Level Guides provide an overview of what your child will learn at each nine weeks. It focuses on the key skills in each curriculum content area, building a strong foundation for success throughout the school year.

The online guides include

  • An overview of key priority standards your child will learn in each curriculum content area
  • Ideas for activities to help your child learn
  • Topics of discussion for talking to your child’s teacher about his or her academic progress

Congratulations to 5th grader Alyson Gonzaga-Montiel, Character Without Question recipient from Treasure Forest!

Every year, SBISD honors students district-wide who reflect a depth of character and a caring for human beings. Students are selected for demonstrating an enduring commitment to any or all of the following character traits: honesty/integrity, responsibility/dependability, respect, perseverance/effort, courage, caring/kindness, and citizenship/civic virtue.

Alyson’s counselor, Felicitas Ponce, wrote, “Alyson is an awesome student. She loves helping other students who struggle. She is outgoing and makes others feel included.” Alyson was selected for her commitment to respect, kindness, and honesty.
